Chicago Parks getting off drugs, urging homeowners to follow

I think this is just the beginning in the States, just starting to follow Canada's lead in banning pesticides.  The story's on Beyond Pesticides, and thanks to Ed Bruske for sending it along.

  1. Go Chicago!
Firsthand experience is the only way to prove affective results. There is never just one way to be successful. Pioneers are stepping forward and others will be watching. Chicago is not alone.

  2. They actually made this move last year. It was fun last May, driving up Lake Shore Drive along the vast lakefront park, and passing big beds of yellow daffodils, carefully planted, and huge vistas of yellow dandelions that had planted themselves. Everybody seemed to be enjoying the park just the same.
