MANIFESTO

  • Convinced that gardening MATTERS

    We Are:

    Convinced that gardening MATTERS.

    Bored with perfect magazine gardens.

In love with real, rambling, chaotic, dirty, bug-ridden gardens.

    Suspicious of the “horticultural industry.”

Delighted by people with a passion for plants.

Appalled by chemical warfare in the garden.

Turned off by any activities that involve “landscaping” with “plant materials.”

Flabbergasted at the idea of a “no maintenance garden.”

    Gardening our asses off.

Having a hell of a lot of fun.

Today while driving from Napa Valley to Marin county I was treated to a great radio broadcast interview on KQED national public radio .

It was with the very interesting Amy Stewart !

Great interview with lots of interesting tidbits about the cut flower industry.
Made me want to run out and get the book !

Thanks for making the drive enjoyable.

Darn, I'm going to be in NY one day too late.

Looking forward to meeting you on Michael's birthday 4/22 at the Arnold Arboretum and it is also Earth Day which we are celebrating, mostly as me being an EPA employee. 3 great things on one day and it looks like we actually might have some real Spring weather...keep your fingers crossed!
