Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Ankle deep in The Mulch:

This sounds like something I would particularly enjoy when I'm... intoxicated.

My initial thought was that this was that I don't want to join a California garden site, but if there's an effort to make this national, then I could be interested.

Sounds like something to do when the ground is frozen. I like the idea of making my own plant inventory.

Any thoughts comparing TMC and Dave's Garden?

Peter,

Hard to say--the only thing I use on DG is the mail order ratings. I'm not a paying subscriber so I can't get into the forums.

Bur certainly this is much newer and the forums aren't nearly as well developed as DG or Gardenweb. I like what they've done with how you can create your own profile, plant list etc. Like I said, it's fun. There is a lot of potential here.

I'm hugely impressed with The Mulch but what I love about it is that it's regional, so I can't imagine it working nearly as well on a national basis. I've sent the link to all my DC buddies, though, suggesting we replicate it here. I especially love the listings of local services.
