The fire scared the heck out of me when I was a kid and this kind of cartoon could be seen on regular network, rabbit-ear TV. What would you call that style of animation used for the female tree? Is it Art Deco?

Annie at the Transplantable Rose

Too bad the frame rate is so low that it looks so jerky on playback. The original looks great. Those cartoonists at Disney and Warner Brothers knew their art. Anime doesn't hold a candle to it.

The fire part was all too real here in Idaho. Thanks for the walk down cartoon memory lane.

LOVE it! My favourite part was when the flowers were waking up and brushing their teeth in the puddle.

A good message to all the smokers out there who plan to be in the wilderness this summer, and all the campers. Only you can prevent forest fires.

this made my week!! Thank you for posting this.

I like your blog and look forward to what I'll find here.
I'm a reluctant gardener—one of those who has hardly a clue as to what I'm doing in the garden... the type who, if I could, would hire a personal gardener to teach me how to take care of my outdoor space, humble as it is. But here's the deal... it's just me. One square foot of weeding at time, I tell myself... lol!
