After realizing poisons only made the bug problem worse, Mickey bought a new broom, switched to organic practices and gardened happily ever after.

Toxic pesticides, from a bug's point of view. Who can blame them for going to war against the guy who has been gassing them with neurotoxins? (Or in those days, arsenic was often the pesticide of choice.)
Of course it was all a dream...
