I’m not really a fan of rhododendrons, but this baby’s been blooming its head off for months, and who can complain about that? The lime green hellebore below it actually looks like a color combination I would have planned if I’d ever planned anything in the garden.
Actual photos of blooms in a real Ranter’s garden!!! Another sign that spring will eventually arrive here in the north woods.
So you rave about the rhody but don’t tell us her name? C’mon, ‘fess up, inquiring minds want to know.
Lovely combo.
I am so happy to read that you aren’t a great planner. I always feel guilty when I read about all the planning. My plans usually go by the wayside when the real creative urge strikes.
I like that rhodie–looks kind of wild, and the color is strong.
Name? The rhododendron has a name? Beats me.
wow, look at the blooms on that thing. The color is amazing. If that doesn’t usher in spring, I don’t know what will.
It’s been blooming for months? And here we midwestern gardeners have been obsessing over tiny crocuses and snowdrops and buds that might be blooms, while that rhodo has been flashing neon on the west coast.
